Fun Day in Denver

Gammy and Papa came up to go with the kids to Santa's Workshop but due to the weather we spent the day in Denver instead which ended up being a really fun day. We went to the Nature and Science Museum and then to Casa Bonita with the cliff divers. The kids had a blast.

Climbing Carter

Carter has started climbing everywhere to get what he wants, and as you can see he wanted to take very small bites out of each apple. Aren't kids just so fun. Ha Ha Ha

The Olympic Training Center

Madelyn's class had a field trip to the Olympic Training Center here in the Springs, and it was really fun. I actually got to go with while Melissa watched the boys. There wasn't much training going on except men's gymnastics, which just blew the kids away at what they could do. Madelyn now says that she is going to be an Olympic gymnast someday.

Jackson 's 3rd Birthday

I can hardly believe that Jackson is 3 years old already. He has always been such a sweet boy, that we didn't realize he was going through is terrible twos until they were already done. He had a spiderman birthday party in Texas with my family and loved every minute of it. He kept on telling me "thank you for the party mama." When I told him that Carter's birthday was next in line, he said "ya Carter is going to be 5." I guess 3 is a good time to start learning how to count!

Last Days of Summer

The kids have been having fun with the water on some of our last warm days. It actually did snow this morning, but these pictures were taken a couple weeks ago. The kids have loved having a big backyard to run and play.

Back to School

Madelyn started 1st grade on Tuesday and is very happy to be back at school. She was most glad to be off the kindergarten playground and on to bigger and better things. I have to say that I do miss her talking to me all day, but on the other hand the boys love having more attention.

Jeff was as excited as a kid at Christmas because, oh yes, football season has begun. The boys got all dressed up to watch the game and jumped, yelled and cheered at the television. Is this a glimpse of years to come?

Kids Being Kids

Just some fun pictures of the kids having fun hanging out. We have potty trained Jacks this week, so we have been at home a lot. I also find the two boys on the top bunk just sitting there doing nothing. I guess they like the view of being so high up. I don't know what the boys will do with themselves whenever Mady goes back to school, she truly is their entertainment this summer. One more week of official summer vacation, and even though Madelyn is excited to be a 1st grader I am really sad to see our lazy summer days end.

The Wiedrichs Go Camping

This was our first family camping trip, and well even though it was exhausting we all really enjoyed ourselves. It only took about an hour to get to our campsite which was beautiful. Mady and Jacks enjoyed the s'mores most of all and Carter enjoyed the fact that he had wide open spaces to run free. He only got stuck in the barbwire one time, which is really to be expected with his curiosity. I think the Hiatts have even shown Jeff that camping can be fun. Enjoy the pictures.

Madelyn at Cheer Camp

Madelyn had a little cheer camp this week and had a blast. She still says she likes soccer just as much, but as you can see she is pretty much great at anything she does. How would it feel to be good at everything you try? I will never know.

Jackson's New Hat

If you know Jackson very well, you know that he loves wearing his Bronco hat. We found the last years official sideline hat in his size the other day at Dick's and well he hasn't taken it off for 3 days. It has to be more comfortable than his last one that was getting way too small. He says that his other hat is "Tarter's hat" now because it is for babies and he is a big boy. The only down side to his hat is that everyone in the stores talk to him, which for him is so embarrassing. Soo cute!

Best Friends

Mady and Jacks have become "best friends" as Mady says. They either love each other or are completely annoyed with each other, which is I'm sure the way it will be for the rest of their lives. When Madelyn has her moments of annoyance, Jacks say "Mady you not love me?" which is so cute. It is so fun to see them having fun together this summer.

Water World

We went to Water World in Denver a few days ago with my mom, Misty and her kids. As you can see Madelyn and Natalee had a great time on the slides. I think they went down together about 100 times. Carter was a little too brave, so he got a life jacket strapped to him. Jacks was our little shooter as you can see, all he wanted to do was shoot people that passed by with the water guns. We had a blast and were completely exhausted afterwards

Wiedrich Reunion

This was the family picture taken at the Wiedrich Reunion this year in South Dakota. It was surprisingly easy to get it done, even with all the children. We are so blessed to have so many great people in our family and part of our kids lives.

At the Pool

We finally got the kids to the pool this year, and one hour into having a fun a big storm came off the mountains. I have to say I was kind of glad because swimming with a 1 and 2 year old is quit hard. I did feel bad for them, but I'm sure it won't be the last time we go this year. Isn't summer fun! We just love it.

The Wiedrich reunion was in South Dakota a week ago and we had so much fun seeing everyone. It is such a rare occasion that we get to see everyone at the same time, so it was a treat to get to be there. The kids also had a blast with all the cousins.

Well, we are pretty much moved in now and are loving our new home. We are realizing that owning a house means having projects to do constantly. We really don't mind right now because it is all so fun to be able to work on our own house. The kids love their new backyard because it is so big, but on the other hand Jeffrey is beginning to think the yard is way too big after having spent 3 hours mowing and edging it. Mady has only 3 days left in kindergarten and I for one am glad summer is finally here. It is so much more relaxing to not have a schedule. We have lots of trips coming up this summer and plan to see all our family in the month of June. Isn't summer so much fun.
